Picture this: you run a prospering SOHO/SME business and things have been going great. Customers are smiling and the world is your oyster. It’s month-end and you can finally afford that special-little-something that you had promised yourself for when you reach your current milestone. You switch on your computer to do the recon for the day, but all you get is some weird error screen that you haven’t seen before. You reboot and try again, but the same thing happens. Your heart is pounding in your throat and you know it is going to be a long night. You could call your sisters ex-fiance’s cousin, but his Facebook page says he is currently saving Drop-bears in the Australian outback and won’t be back for another 6 months. What do you do? You could call any number of service companies who then charge an arm and a leg, because they know you have no choice, just to tell you that your hard-drive has become corrupted, probably from the “whoMakesUpTheseVirusNames.B64.sys” virus and all your data is gone. You can hear your special-little-something slipping off into the night.
So what is the alternative? Prevention. Signing up for our support services offers you the following:
Upon receiving payment, we can optionally (as in free*) come to your place of business and assess your IT setup. This gives us a clear picture of what equipment you have, internet connectivity etc, we can also set up the applications for remote support, anti-virus, backups etc. at the same time.
A single Support Unit offers you 5 incidents/2 hours per month, telephonic or remote support if possible, otherwise an on-site visit (max 2-hours) will be arranged (I dare you to try and find anywhere that offers that kind of support for our price). We can also schedule after-hours support* so as to cause less inconvenience to your business day.
If you pay up front for a year’s subscription, you only pay for 11 months and get the 12th month free, and you are then entitled to your 12 Support Units immediately; very handy if you are planning on upgrading or buying a new machine as we can then do the installation using your banked Support Units.*
We set you up so that we can support you remotely, if/when you allow us (once-off passwords etc).
We offer guidance and best practices with regards to IT, privacy and prevention of data-loss.
As a courtesy, we can log in (again, only if/when you allow us) and make sure your backups have been run, check that your anti-virus is up to date etc.*
Our fee schedule is scalable, so you won’t have to pay double for each additional computer you own.
If you don’t use your Support Unit that month, it accumulates, on a rolling 12-month basis, allowing you to plan for that upgrade ahead of time.
Our subscription will give you peace of mind with regards to day-to-day operations, and your budget. If a disaster does occur, you will be better equipped to deal with it.
